U13 Girls Win First Hardball League Game

girls cricket corsham

A great win for the under-13 girls in their first hardball league game of the season against Stoke Bishop.

The girls scored 150 runs off 20 overs and took six wickets. They won by around 50 runs.

Highlights included fine batting and bowling from the Mollys and Alice W. There was also a direct hit run-out from Molly M and a great catch from Alice.

The Taylor sisters provided fierce bowling and hard hitting and set the tone as ever in the field. Alberta's left arm bowling is showing real promise.

And really terrific debuts at this level from two of our younger players Mia and Emma. Emma was wicket keeper for 20 overs on a hot evening - no mean feat under a helmet - and scored her first hardball boundaries with the bat. Mia played straight and bravely against some tough bowling and put in a couple of very good overs herself with the ball.

Well done to all.
