This Saturday the 1st XI lost to Stroud away after rain interrupted play. The 2nd XI game at Broadleys was rained off.

The 3rd XI are on an unstoppable winning streak with 5 in a row! This week saw a good win away against Swindon United Churches. Marshfield won the toss and batted first and all out for 189. The second innings MCC bowled out SUCCC for 72.

Great bowling from Mark "Dicko" Dixon: 3 for 27 off 11 overs and also from Andy "Pearcy" Pearce: 3 for 12 off 4 overs.

The Lords dream is over for another year. The VK game at Cresselly ended with a defeat for Marshfield. A massive thanks goes to all the supporters who came to watch the games, both home & away. Some pictures from the day will be online soon.

Sunday 19th June

So far we have had 15 teams interested but only a couple of actual forms back.

If we don’t get forms or some guarantees by 5pm Monday 13th July then we may have to re-think the tournament date.

ACTION: Please fill in the form and email it to Chalky or print it out and give it to Rupert or Chalky ASAP.

The following has been confirmed for Sunday:

Start time: Around 1pm/1.30pm. (Competition rules actually state 1pm for start). Since we have a long way to go but we will aim to start as close to 1pm as possible.

Coach: Leaves Marshfield (by FB Bond) around 8.30am. 

Breakfast: The Nelson currently do Sunday morning breakfasts and this Sunday they will be open from 7.45am for service should you wish to line the stomach before the big day!

Ground: Plenty of room for parking and seating around the boundary. They have a “lovely ground” apparently.

Booze: They want people to buy alcohol from their bar and do not want excess booze being taken into their ground. Picnics etc are fine but they will not let lads coming off the bus with crates of booze!
